PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a tone having reduced variation in the characteristics among respective toner particles and having stable characteristics. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the toner has a mixing process of obtaining a mixture by mixing raw materials containing at least a binder rein and coloring matter by using a mixer, and a kneading process of obtaining kneaded matter by kneading the mixture by using a kneading machine. When the mixing energy that the mixer imparts to the raw materials per 1 kg is defined as A[kWh/kg] in the mixing process and the kneading energy that the kneading machine imparts to the mixture per 1 kg as B[kWh/kg] in the kneading process, the ratio of A and B satisfies the relation B/A≥5. The mixing process mixes the raw materials while cooling the materials.
