PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof device provided on a deck of a truck vehicle of simple structure capable of opening a whole surface on the side of the deck to easily load and unload cargos, etc. SOLUTION: In this roof device, a base frame body A is constituted of a portal frame 4 which can be mounted and fixed between upper ends of right and left side gate plates 3 of the deck 2 of the truck vehicle 1, a top frame 5 mounted and disposed between tops 4A of the portal frames 4 provided oppositely in a fore-and-aft direction, and an opening/closing frame 7 for closing right and left side spaces 6 between the portal frame 4 and the top frame 5. The base frame body A is covered with a hood 8. The opening/closing frame 7 is pivotally attached to the top frame 5 or the vicinity of the top frame 5 and is rotatably provided to be freely derricked with the top A1 of the base frame body A as a fulcrum. By actuating the opening/closing frame 7, the side space 6 between the portal frame 4 and the top frame 5 is opened.
