REMOTE MAINTENANCE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote maintenance system achieving the high efficiency of a process or work accompanying the revision of the program of an electronic computer system. SOLUTION: The remote maintenance system comprises: a plurality of general user terminals; and a maintenance center remotely maintaining the general user terminals and connected through communication channels to the general user terminals. The maintenance center has: a corrected data storage means storing corrected data indicative of the contents of the revision of the program conducted by the general user terminals; and a transfer means transferring the corrected data on the corrected data storage means to the general user terminals. The general user terminal has: a program storage means storing two or more programs having the same contents and used for an operation system and a stand-by system; and an application means conducting application processing for revising the program used for the stand-by system in accordance with the corrected data transferred from the maintenance center.
