Guide plates are for incorporation on existing snow clearance plates (6), on the lateral outer edges of which they are fitted. By right-angled positioning of the plate to the advance feed direction (7), snow can be transported away in portions. The plates are fitted in a height-adjustable manner. A guide plate can also be fitted on an existing inclinedly adjusted clearance plate and can be folded over when the main plate is adjusted to clearance on the other side by means of a grip (9) through 180 degrees rotation. Through the guide plate (5), the flowing away of a small amount of snow in the opposite direction of the inclined plate is prevented, which can normally only be achieved by the extreme inclined positioning of the plate.
