A method for storing cladding panels, or other flat panels, when working on a scaffold has a flexible open topped bag (2) with a reinforcing insert base to take a stack of panels in a vertical array for simple access. Each bag is fitted with a pair of support straps (36) with hooks, or other fastenings, to secure to a scaffold frame, or onto loops (26) under an upper bag. This enables the bags to be hung in a chain with one bag for each level. The bags are re-usable and can be used for fitting new panels or for temporary storage of panels removed for maintenance. The insert bases have a com shaped profile to hold the panels with separation.
