<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image control method capable of stabilizing an image by an image stabilization control process which can be more accurately and frequently performed. <P>SOLUTION: At least one or more image patterns B are formed on an image carrier at the point when an image control by a first control system is finished, image information on the formed image pattern B is read by an optical detecting means, then, the image pattern B is formed in a non-image forming area on the image carrier based on the image information in the midst of a normal image forming operation, and then, the formed image pattern B is read by the optical detecting means, and then, the image forming condition corrected by the image control by the first control system is corrected again based on a difference between the read image information and the reference image information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
