<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a weather strip in which an anchor-shaped engaging projection at the bottom of the weather strip to be fitted in an engaging recess of a door molding is formed in such a way as not being located aside to the intra-car side. <P>SOLUTION: The mounting structure of the weather strip to be attached to the periphery of the door molding 1 of a car door D is configured so that the engaging projection 6 in the anchor shape on the extra-car side of the bottom part of the weather strip 2 is fitted in the engaging recess 4 on the extra-car side of the door molding 1, and is arranged so that an outer pawl 6a on the extra-car side of the engaging projection 6 is as short as the tallness of a hitching part 4a of the engaging recess 4 while an inner pawl 6b on the intra-car side is formed longer than the outer pawl 6a to such a degree as touching resiliently the inner wall 4c of the engaging recess 4. Otherwise, the mounting structure may be such that the engaging recess 4 according to the first-described constitution is furnished with the hitching part 4a on the side wall on the extra-car side, but the side wall 7b on the intra-car side is free of any hitching part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
