METHOD FOR PRODUCING TETRAFLUOROETHYLENE-CONTAINING POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing polytetrafluoroethylene-containing powder having excellent fluidity and dispersibility in a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: The method for producing the powder is carried out as follows. Wet powder containing (A) a polytetrafluoroethylene and (B) a thermoplastic polymer having 40-98°C glass transition temperature and having 40-70 mass% content of (A) the polytetrafluoroethylene in the solid content and 30-60 mass% content of (B) the thermoplastic polymer in the solid content is dried with a pneumatic dryer 10 and further dried with a fluidized dryer 20. The moisture content in the wet powder charged into the fluidized dryer 20 is regulated to≤50 mass%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
