PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internet facsimile machine which improves E-mail in transmission efficiency without exceeding the upper limit of its size, and enables a user to select a dividing method and an order of transmission in compliance with his wishes. SOLUTION: The image data of a manuscript read in through a reader 12 are transmitted by E-mail through the Internet 2. At this point, the read image data of the manuscript are managed by the page, and a method of dividing the image data by the page uses either a first mode giving priority to an order of reading, or a second mode giving priority to minimizing the number of partitions.
