PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data display system which increases data transfer efficiency between a server and a data display apparatus, can display display data in the server on a display screen of the data display apparatus in smooth scroll and zoom operation without delay, and increases use efficiency of memory of the data display apparatus. SOLUTION: In this data display system, when scroll operation is executed to an image displayed at a display part 101, the scroll speed is calculated and a threshold value is set based on the scroll speed. When it is detected that the display area on the display part 101 reaches the threshold value, acquisition request event of display data adjacent to the display data stored in a terminal 100 is transmitted from a communication part 106 to a server 200. When the server 200 receives the request event, a display data generating part 205 generates display data corresponding to the request event and transmits the display data to the terminal 100.
