PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite function device capable of preventing the disclosure of private address information and overwriting of address information which the user does not want to update in importing and exporting address information. SOLUTION: The composite function device having a plurality of functions as a printer, a scanner, a facsimile and the like identifies address information to be disclosed and address information to be updated according to previously designated level information that can be disclosed and updated, in response to a request from equipment on a LAN 10 such as a PC 20 or a composite function device 30b to import/export address information, and the process of importing/exporting the address information to/from the equipment on the LAN 10.
