PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female material for a mechanical hook-and-loop fastener by which fixing connection is reliably performed in surface engagement regardless of an engagement direction and any operation without damaging an attachment/detachment operation, and also durability is raised. SOLUTION: The female material piece of the hook-and-loop fastener is constituted of a hook-and-loop type structure, wherein warp knitted fabric forming loops to receive hooks is connected onto a base material surface via an adhesive. The hook-and-loop female material piece is constituted of the warp knitted fabric, which is knitted respectively with a base knitting texture made by thread reeled through a front reel, a swing knitting texture to be engaged with the base knitting texture by thread reeled through a middle reel, a loop pile forming knitting texture to be engaged with the base knitting texture or the shake knitting texture by a thread reeled through a rear reel, and a knitting texture to be formed by allowing the directions of the adjacent loop piles to be alternately different to the right and left.
