PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for a spinning reel, facilitated in maintenance. SOLUTION: The rotor 3 for the spinning reel, being of so-called bailless type, with a fishline guide 31 mounted only on a 1st rotor arm 33, comprises a rotor body 30 and the fishline guide 31 swingably mounted on the rotor body 30. In this rotor 3, the rotor body 30 includes a cylindrical part 32 and the 1st rotor arm 33 and a 2nd rotor arm 34 respectively extending forward by keeping a certain space apart from the cylindrical part 32, from positions standing against each other on the outer circumferential surface of the rear end of the cylindrical part 32, wherein the front portion of the cylindrical part 32 is mounted with a fishline entanglement-proof element 35, and the front face of the front wall 32a of the rotor represents a circular flat surface including an engagement part 35b with the element 35 mounted on.
