A system is provided for a transaction, having an interactive point of sale terminal connected to a financial network, the point of sale terminal comprising a receiver for receiving a transaction signal. The system further has a wireless device with infrared interface comprising an identification corresponding to at least one of a personal identification number and device number, a memory comprising financial information such as: credit card number or coupon, a processor connected to the memory for processing the financial information and the identification number to form a transaction signal, and a transmitter connected to the processor for transmitting the transaction signal to the interactive point of sale terminal.
