PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus equipped with an image blur correction device capable of preventing a composition change due to the action of a blurring correction lens. SOLUTION: A DSC (degital still camera) system equipped with the blurring correction device 100 is provided with an angular velocity sensor 24 for detecting a camera shake, the blur correction lens 1 actuating so as to optically correct image blur in accordance with the output of the angular velocity sensor 24, a PSD 10 for detecting the position of the blur correction lens 1, a CCD (charge coupled device) 30 for converting an optical image on an imaging surface to an image signal and then outputting the signal, an image storage part 35 for storing the image signal outputted from the CCD 30, and a memory control circuit 33 for correcting the image signal stored by the image storage part 35 based on the output of the PSD 10 in accordance with instructions from a blurring correcting CPU 14 and a main CPU 13 when the blurring correction lens 1 is shifted in a period between a photographing preparatory operation and a photographing operation.
