PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message transmission and reception system capable of receiving either electronic message or an instant message earlier and more securely according to settings of a recipient side. SOLUTION: An instant message transfer means 11 of a data processor 1 determines where each of instant messages from an SIP server 4 is transferred according to transfer conditions that a user sets and transfers the message. A filter information storage means 12 holds filter information set by an input device 5 by a web. A web and user information managing means 13 manages a web server, user registration, and log-in functions, etc. An SIP-Mail converting means 21 of a message converting device 2 converts an instant message into an electric mail and a Mail-SIP converting means 22 converts an electronic mail into an instant message.
