PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily execute processing according to an intended use, with respect to a necessary portion in an image. SOLUTION: The image editing program makes a computer execute the steps of accepting an input of an image; extracting, from the input image, a partial image consisting of areas having the same attributes (photographic attribute, graphic attribute and letter attribute); displaying thumbnails 211, 212 and 213 obtained by reducing the extracted partial image in size; displaying plural processing-specified areas 260, 270, 280 and 290 previously associated with processing according to an intended use; accepting an instruction of allocating the thumbnail 211 to the processing-specified area 260; and executing facsimile transmission processing associated with the processing-specified area 260 to which the thumbnail 211 is allocated.
