PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction cylinder blast preventing device in an atomic bomb protection chamber preventing intrusion of a blast from a suction pipe by a method of attaching a normally closed opening and closing valve closing when blast intrudes in a midway part of the suction pipe. SOLUTION: A net 8 for preventing intrusion of insects and birds is provided in a metallic pipe 3 outside air inlet 5 outside a wall or a window 20 of a building, and a multiplicity of small holes 9 for releasing blast are opened in a rear side of a vertically extended pipe 3. When blast coming in through the pipe 3 collides against a blast preventing metal plate 13 inside a pipe 2, the preventing plate 13 moves to 13a, but it is instantaneously returned to its original position by a spring 15 as soon as an outside air pressure drops.
