PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption type cooling and heating machine capable of improving exhaust heat utilization efficiency without complicating a constitution and control. SOLUTION: This absorption type cooling and heating machine comprises an exhaust gas burning regenerator 1 using the exhaust gas from an apparatus generating the exhaust gas, as a heat source, exhaust gas channels 13, 15 for allowing the exhaust gas to flow to the exhaust gas burning regenerator 1, a dilute solution conduit 25 for guiding the dilute solution from an absorber 9 to the exhaust gas burning regenerator 1, a low-temperature heat exchanger 49 mounted at an upstream side with respect to the flow of the dilute solution flowing in the dilute solution conduit 25 for heat-exchanging with a concentrated solution, and a high-temperature heat exchanger 47 mounted at a downstream side with respect to the flow of the dilute solution flowing in the dilute solution conduit 25, in the dilute solution conduit 25 for heat-exchanging with a solution of intermediate concentration. Further an exhaust gas heat recovering unit 51 is mounted in the exhaust gas channels 13, 15 for performing the heat exchange between the dilute solution flowing in a part between the low-temperature heat exchanger 49 and the high-temperature heat exchanger 47 of the dilute solution conduit 25, and the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust gas channels 13, 15.
