PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption type cooling and heating machine capable of reducing the air volume of a blower while simplifying a constitution. SOLUTION: This absorption type cooling and heating machine comprises an exhaust gas burning regenerator 1 using an exhaust gas from an apparatus generating the exhaust gas as a heat source, an introducing channel 11 for guiding the exhaust gas to the exhaust gas burning regenerator 1, and a discharging channel 13 for discharging the exhaust gas from the exhaust gas burning regenerator. This absorption type cooling and heating machine further comprises a bypass channel 15 branched from the introducing channel 11, a channel switching means 19 having a first damper 19a mounted on the introducing channel 11 and a second damper 19b mounted on the bypass channel 15, and switching the flow of the exhaust gas between the introducing channel 11 and the bypass channel 15, a damper 23 mounted on the discharging channel 13 for blocking the circulation of the exhaust gas in the discharging channel 13, and an air supplying means 25 for sending a gas to a part between the damper 23 for blocking the circulation of the exhaust gas of the discharging channel 13 and the exhaust gas burning regenerator 1.
