There is provided an information processing device capable of obtaining a normal printing result even when the print data has a color plane consisting of a plurality of colors. More specifically, a host computer (101) to be connected to a printer (107) for outputting color print data includes: means (103) for calculating data amount of each color data constituting one color print data page which is output in the printer (107); means (105) for deciding the timing to instruct a print start to the output device according to the data amount of each color data calculated and the plane transfer amount as a data amount which can be transferred to the printer (107) while each one color data page is output; and means (106) for transferring the color print data to be output, to the printer (107) and after this, instructing the print start to the printer (107).
