The invention relates to an active substance diffuser comprising a lamp (1) which is mounted on a support base (2). A container (3) for the active substance (4), which takes the form of a gel, is mounted on the aforementioned lamp in an independent manner such that it can be changed. Moreover, the lamp (1) can be provided with a protector (6) which is also mounted on the aforementioned support base (2) and which, together with the container (3) and the active substance (4), is made from a transparent or translucent material through which the light emitted by said lamp (1) can pass. In this way, the invention forms both an active substance diffuser and an ambient lighting element.
