<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic driver's license system allowing writing and changing of information on a driver's license on the vehicle side for authentication for using a car-mounted device. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic driver's license 100 includes writable and readable storing means 110 and a communication means 130. A vehicle side controlling device 200 includes communication means 210 communicable to the license 100, a readable and writable storing means 230 for storing information from the license 100, and a system control means 220 for authenticating an input/output of information with the license 100. A user operation password is provided for use of a car-mounted device 300, and data necessary for user authentication are registered in the means 110 and 230 of the device 200 and the license 100 respectively, and the device 200 performs authentication for the license 100 when the device 300 starts to be used, for determining whether the device 300 is allowed to be used based on the authentication result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
