APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING TRANSMISSION PATH CHARACTERISTIC, WIRELESS DEMODULATOR, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for estimating a transmission path characteristic capable of enhancing estimate accuracy of a transmission path characteristic in a wireless system adopting the OFDM system or the like.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for estimating a transmission path characteristic is provided with: a preamble time waveform data storage section 10 for storing in advance time waveform data generated on the basis of known pilot data; a correlation detection circuit 12 for detecting the correlation by using the time waveform data in the preamble time waveform data storage section 10 for a reference signal when receiving a received signal of a preamble part; and a Fourier transform unit 14 for applying Fourier transform to the correlation value outputted from the correlation detection circuit 12 to calculate transmission path characteristic data for performing transmission path equalization.
