PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate material which can be developed aboard a printing machine and shows remarkable ease of handling and high resistance to plate wear, and a printing method using this printing plate material and a printing plate.

SOLUTION: This printing plate material has a layer containing a tetrapod-shaped fine particle on a base.
