PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw lead measuring device capable of measuring the lead of a single male screw and a single female screw simply, highly accurately and three-dimensionally regardless of the screw shape. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a stylus mounting part 10 held by an axial direction moving part 52 and having a stylus 11 mounted thereon, and the axial direction moving part 52 is connected to a balance weight 20 with a belt member 21 hooked over a belt guide member 24. A low friction material is included in the belt guide member 24 surface or in the contact face of the belt member 21 in contact with the belt guide member. Otherwise, the belt guide member 24 is constituted of a roller equipped with a rotary part and an axial part, and the rotary part is supported on the axial part rotatably through a noncontact bearing. The screw lead can be measured highly accurately by reducing a frictional force at a transmission mechanism of a driving force or a driving part for moving the stylus in the axial direction and by reducing the load applied to the stylus in this device.
