PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container terminal for safely storing containers in many stages and improving cargo handling efficiency of the containers. SOLUTION: The container terminal 1 for handling cargos of a plurality of stored containers 13 comprises a container storing section 14 that is formed of one or a plurality of caissons 8 for containers and stores the plurality of containers 13 from the underground above the ground, and a crane 17 for handling cargos of the plurality of containers 13 from the upside of the container storing section 14.
