PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable composition containing a slightly water-soluble organoiodine-based compound in high concentration, and to provide a stable composition for water dilution, without causing crystal precipitation over a long period even when the composition is formed into an aqueous preparation by diluting the composition. SOLUTION: The composition for the water dilution is obtained by formulating the slightly water-soluble organoiodine-based compound, at least one kind selected from lipophilic organic solvents having≥16 carbon atoms in an amount sufficient for dissolving the organoiodine-based compound, at least one kind selected from hydrophilic alcoholic solvents, and at least one kind selected from higher alcoholic or sorbitan-based surfactants as essential components.
