PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide microspherical zeolite moldings which comprise zeolite and a binder, are excellent in compressive strength and abrasion resistance even when they have a small particle diameter or a large pore volume, and have a uniform particle size distribution. SOLUTION: The microspherical zeolite moldings comprise zeolite and a binder and are characterized in that (i) the mean particle diameter (D) is in the range of 0.5 to 5 mm, (ii) the volume (PV) of pores with diameters in the range of 50 to 500 nm is in the range of 0.1 to 0.6 mL/g, (iii) the average compressive strength (N) is in the range of 2 to 30 kg, and (iv) the average compressive strength index (C) represented by the equation: C=N×PV/D is in the range of 1.0 to 5. In an embodiment, the microspherical zeolite moldings have a zeolite content of 60 to 98 wt.% and a binder content of 2 to 40 wt.%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
