The electric tool has a motor (36) and a switch element (20,22,24,26) within a signaling circuit. The switch element is coupled to a load circuit (40) via a power switch element (38). The switch element is operated via an elastic keypad that is integrated in a housing. An independent claim is also provided for the use of the switch element for controlling an electric tool or an attachment or an accessory part.
