PURPOSE: A color cathode ray tube panel and a method are provided to reduce processes and achieve improved color purity by preventing dots or stripes from being influenced by the emitted light. CONSTITUTION: A color cathode ray tube panel comprises a black matrix layer formed at the inner surface of the panel; red, green, and blue phosphors arranged between the black matrix layers; and a metal bag(5) coated on the red, green, and blue phosphors. The metal bag separately covers each of the red, green, and blue phosphors. The metal bag is made of aluminum flake having a size of 30 to 50§.
