<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust sliding bearing allowing the application of lubricant such as grease on the sliding surface thereof for a long period, allowing the lubricant to be used also for a thrust load supporter, and capable of providing smooth steering operation equivalent to that by a rolling bearing even if the thrust sliding bearing is installed in a strut suspension as a thrust sliding bearing. <P>SOLUTION: This thrust sliding bearing 1 comprises an upper case 3 having an annular surface 2, a lower case 5 having an annular surface 4 opposed to the annular surface 2 of the upper case 3, an elastic ring 6 installed between both annular surfaces 2 and 4 in slidable contact with both annular surfaces 2 and 4, an elastic ring 8 forming an annular enclosed space 7 in association with the elastic ring 6, and the lubricant 9 filled in the enclosed space 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
