<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens which can suppress length in an optical axis direction, can assure working distance and further can arrange an object side focus at a position remote from an incident plane of the objective lens and to provide an optical pickup equipment using the objective lens. <P>SOLUTION: The objective lens is constituted of a first lens and a second lens which are arranged from an object side in order, have positive refraction force and have a meniscus shape where a convex face is turned to an object side. When an image side focal distance of the objective lens is specified as (f), a front focus is specified as fF, a back focus is specified as fB, length from an object side principal point H1 to an image side principal point H2 is specified as L<SB>h1h2</SB>and a distance on an optical axis from an object side face of the first lens to an image side face of the second lens is specified as L, relations: fF/f≤-1.1, L<SB>h1h2</SB>/f≥0.5, fB/f≥0.2 and L/f≤1.3 are satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
