<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise that is radiated from an insulating case of an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine to the outside in the case of spark discharge by supplying a high voltage to an ignition plug in the coil. <P>SOLUTION: Within an insulating case 17 whose upper surface is opened and which includes an outward protruding primary terminal, at least a coil/core assembly 15 composed of a secondary coil 12, a primary coil 11 concentrically fitted to the inner periphery of the secondary coil, an outer annular core 13 surrounding the outside of the secondary coil, and a closed magnetic path core with a linear core 14 whose both terminals are connected to the inner periphery of the outer annular core, are housed. By an insulating resin solidified layer 18 injected into the insulating case, the coil/core assembly is embedded and fixed in the insulating case. In such an ignition coil for the internal combustion engine, a conductive layer 30 is formed on the inner surface of the insulating case. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
