<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for auction using the Internet whereby a seller sells auctioned goods quickly, a buyer buys auctioned goods quickly, work required until a buyer is awarded a contract is saved, an appropriate price approved by a buyer is formed, and a failure in bidding caused by overloading of a server and a network congestion is avoided. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, a buyer who responds at first to auctioned goods and an asking price thereof becomes a successful bidder, and the price decreases from the price asked for by the seller that is the highest price and the starting price to the lowest price that is a contract price with a predetermined period of time. While the price asked for by the seller decreases within a predetermined period of time, a buyer wants to win the contract at a price as low as possible, but has a fear that the buyer may lose the right to bid if and when another buyer tenders the bid earlier, thereby creating competition among buyers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
