PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bone absorption inhibitor for controlling bone absorption action by inhibiting differentiation mature of osteoclast and a food and a beverage for bone absorption inhibition.

SOLUTION: The bone absorption inhibitor comprises lactoperoxidase and/or a hydrolyzate obtained by hydrolyzing lactoperoxidase with protease such as trypsin, etc., as an active ingredient. The food and the beverage for bone absorption inhibition comprises lactoperoxidase and/or its hydrolyzate.
