<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for discriminating a heavy load of a packet switching network without overlooking short time deterioration in quality and acquiring data at a short time interval. <P>SOLUTION: The heavy load discrimination apparatus 1 achieves processes as stated in the following: an input section 11 measures an average load and the quality for a plurality of number of times over a prescribed period; a distribution section 13 estimates a frequency of the average load, a setting loadρmax higher than the average load, and a setting loadρmin lower than the average load on the basis of the probability distribution according to the average, and the quality, and a relative equation between the load and the quality; a distribution weight section 14 superimposes the frequency of the average load, the setting loadρmax, and the setting loadρmin on a load obtained from a plurality of the average loads and the qualities within a prescribed period by each preset data interval to calculate a frequency distribution by each data interval within a prescribed period, and calculates the frequency distribution of the qualities within the prescribed period on the basis of the relative equation from the frequency distribution by each load interval; and a deterioration time rate calculation section 15 and a heavy load discrimination section 16 discriminate whether or not a heavy load takes place within the prescribed period on the basis of the frequency distribution of the qualities within the prescribed period in cooperation with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
