PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide learning methods of characters and a writing order capable of judging the exactness of the characters by utilizing a computer in recognizing inputted lines. SOLUTION: A contour line 2 is made transparent and a line 1 is traced. The case the line is traced without going over the contour line 2 is decided as a correct answer and the case the line is traced beyond the contour line 2 is decided as a wrong answer. Levels of learning can be set by changing the width of the contour line 2; for example, the line, if wide, is judged to be that of an infant and the line, if narrow, to be that of a primary schooler. Also, the more effective learning can be made by assigning a range and judging the writing order of the characters by the order of passing the range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
