PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve operability for a user by restarting reproduction processing while holding a reproduction stop position when there is no need for changing the reproduction position even when a reproducing apparatus is connected to an external information processor. SOLUTION: The audio data stored into a flash memory 5 is reproduced and when the reproduction of the audio data is stopped according to a stop instruction, that reproduction stop position is stored. A command is received from an external personal computer 16 through an interface 7 and whether the command is the instruction by application software for operating the storage contents of the audio data stored in the flash memory 5 or not is decided. When the command is determined not to be the instruction by the application software, the reproduction to the audio data from the reproduction stop position is made possible.
