PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation measuring instrument that can precisely measure radiations for various kinds of miscellaneous measuring objects in a nuclear power plant. SOLUTION: A gas circulation route 7 provided with an ion collecting means 8, through which ionized gas inside a measuring chamber 2 stored with the measuring object 1 is circulated, is connected to a gas outlet 2b and a gas inlet 2a of the measuring chamber 2 via a gas converging means 5 and a gas diffusing means 6, and a straightening vane 3 for guide-introducing the flow of the gas into the measuring chamber 2 is provided to form the flow of the gas ionized to reduce sensitivity caused by a position of a radiation source.
