PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material for flexographic printing capable of winding so as to always constantly hold a distance between the surface of a plate cylinder and a carrier sheet, and washing a printing plate without winding itself around on a roll of a printing plate washing machine when ink stuck on the flexographic printing plate is washed, and a carrier sheet for flexographic printing provided with the cushioning material for flexographic printing. SOLUTION: The cushioning material for flexographic printing is used by being arranged on a face of the opposite side of a face on which the flexographic printing plate is stuck on the carrier sheet for flexographic printing. The cushioning material for flexographic printing comprises a sheet-like cushioning part and a diaphragm part for keeping a thickness of the cushioning part, and the cushioning part comprises an elastomer material with an Asker C hardness of≥15°, and the diaphragm comprises an elastomer material with a Shore A hardness of≥10°.
