PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus providing a natural endoscopic observation image by obtaining an optimal value. SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus includes a signal processor having aγcompensation circuit receiving an input video signal, compensating the video signal based on linear or nonlinear input/output characteristics and outputting it. This apparatus is provided withγcharacteristics conversion means converting the input/output characteristics of theγcompensation circuit according to the setting situation of the endoscope apparatus.
