<p>A safety release for a servo driven door, e.g. a metal industrial door, has a release cylinder (30) fitted through the door in a bore with a diameter not greater than 13 mm. The cylinder houses an axial release which is locked into the cylinder. The release mechanism is connected to a coupling (44) in the servo linkage, e.g. cable drive. The outside of the release cylinder is fitted with a bezel (34) containing a key operated lock. The bezel can be chromed or painted to match the door. The release operates in all settings of the door.</p> |
