A crushing roller (1) in a housing (5) has axially spaced circles of alternating small and large projections (11,12). The housing wall (10) has a concave curved shape, whose radius of curvature is greater than the radius of the roller. The free edge of the housing wall lies within the working range of the roller, defining a tapered gap between the wall inner surface and the roller periphery (2). The gap becomes smallest when the projections overlap squeezing fins (23) at the housing, enabling crushing items to be discharged at the free edge.
|
