The top has a roof frame which extends from a rear region of a convertible vehicle as far as a windshield arranged between A-pillars of the vehicle, when the top is in closed state. The roof frame has a rear frame piece (6), a central frame piece (5) and a front frame piece (4). The front frame piece is connected in an articulated manner directly to the central frame piece. A cover is fixed to the front element that is connected pivotably with respect to the front frame piece.
