<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation where a user cannot perform printing in a cartridge home delivery system in which a cartridge is appropriately charged in accordance with use quantity of a colorant. <P>SOLUTION: A system operation company 1 contracts with several users on home delivery of the cartridge. A distributer 3 delivers a new toner cartridge 40 to an installation place 5 of a color laser printer 10 of the user, collects the toner cartridge 40 that the user uses till then and brings it back to the system operation company 1 when it becomes home delivery time decided at every user. A system computer 70 reads toner use quantity from a storage element 50 incorporated in the collected toner cartridge 40, decides a period to next home delivery time in accordance with the toner use quantity or decides an amount charged to the user in accordance with the toner use quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
