PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle piezoelectric device which is small in size, reduced in cost, and hardly stops vibrations. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric device is equipped with a piezoelectric board, a printed wiring board which is provided with a recess 4 on its top surface for holding the piezoelectric board, and a flat lid member stopping up the recess. The piezoelectric board is supported in a cantilevered manner in the recess bored in the printed wiring board. A vibration damping piece 3 is provided on a part of the other end (not-supported end) of the top surface of the piezoelectric board, and the piezoelectric board is so mounted as to set a gap between a part of the top surface of the vibration damping piece 3 and the undersurface of the lid member as large as the size 0.06±0.02 mm (0.04 to 0.08 mm), and also to set a gap between the undersurface of the other end of the piezoelectric board and the inner bottom face of the recess as large as the size 0.09±0.01 mm (0.08 to 0.1 mm).
