METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PASTING FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evenly pasting a film to the surface of a base without generating a stepped part from the tip part to the rear end part of the film and further, without generating creases and bubbles, and a device using this method. SOLUTION: In this method, the tip part of the film is retained by an electrostatic force working between the tip part and the outer peripheral surface of a pressing roller by applying an electric charge to the tip part of the film; the tip part of the film is made to coincide with a position for starting its pasting to the base by conveying the film to the base by the rotation of the pressing roller and the film is pasted to the surface of the base; the rear end part of the film is also retained by an electrostatic force working between the rear end part and the outer peripheral surface of the pressing roller by applying an electric charge to the rear end part; the entire film is pasted from tip to rear end to the base by the rotation of the roller; and the rotating pressing roller is destaticized at an upstream position of the roller retaining the tip part and the rear end part of the film.
