PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver which receives a receivable broadcast when a specified broadcast becomes unreceivable. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver comprises a means for receiving a digital broadcast based on a frequency preset to receive a digital broadcast being transmitted from a broadcasting station at a specified frequency, a means for making a decision whether the set digital broadcast is received or not, a means for making a decision whether an alternative channel for receiving an alternative broadcast is set or not if the set digital broadcast is not received, and a means for receiving the broadcast of the alternative channel by making a switch from the set digital broadcast to the alternative channel if the alternative channel is set.
