PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mite repellent composition excellent in a mite repellent effect, highly safe for the human body, and capable of giving a pleasant smell when and after used, and to obtain a mite repellent. SOLUTION: The mite repellent composition contains (A) ethers expressed by formula (1): R<SP>1</SP>OR<SP>1</SP>(R<SP>1</SP>is phenyl or benzyl), (B) alcohols expressed by formula (2): R<SP>2</SP>CH<SB>2</SB>OH (R<SP>2</SP>is phenyl, benzyl or phenoxymethyl), and (C) 3-(3, 4-methylenedioxypheny)-2-methylpropanal and/or 3, 4-methylenedioxybenzaldehyde as constituents.
